INDIGO is a website operated by the Australian Government’s Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C), to assist in the administration of the Government’s Indigenous programmes.

Existing INDIGO users

Clients and departmental staff who are already registered users, can logon to INDIGO using the User Log In section in the left hand menu. This includes existing clients who manage their performance reports online who already have an INDIGO Logon ID and password.

Potential INDIGO users

Clients who wish to manage their Indigenous programme’s performance reports online, but do not currently have an INDIGO Logon ID should contact the INDIGO Help Desk for assistance (call (02) 6152 3111 or email indigohelpdesk@pmc.gov.au).

Current Notices:


INDIGO's web address (URL) has changed to indigo.gov.au. The old URL (indigo.deewr.gov.au) will automatically re-direct to this web site.


INDIGO Scheduled System Outage

INDIGO will be unavailable on Saturday 1st August from 2:00PM to 8:00PM (AEST) due to a scheduled system outage. We apologise for any inconvenience.


On 18 September 2013, the Government transferred responsibility for Indigenous programmes, policy and service delivery to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. All references to the former DEEWR will be updated in INDIGO in due course.


Known Issue: users may experience difficulties accessing INDIGO on computers with Windows 7 or through Internet Explorer version 8 (IE8) or higher. To resolve these issues you will need to:

  • display indigo.gov.au in 'compatibility mode'. There is a useful guide to compatability mode settings on the Microsoft website.
  • add INDIGO as a 'Trusted Site'
  • enable JavaScript
  • delete temporary internet files
